The Bombay Cricket Association now known as Mumbai Cricket Association is the parent body in organizing Cricket activities in the Mumbai city including holding of Ranji Trophy Matches, Test Matches, One Day International Matches etc. The Mumbai Cricket Association under the Presidentship of Late Shri S.K. Wankhede decided to construct stadium and the Club House in the year 1972. The construction of Stadium and Club House was completed in 1974. The Stadium was named as Wankhede Stadium. The Club House was named as BCA Garware Club House and started functioning from December,1974.

The Club House started functioning independently since 1979, as per its Rules, Constitution & Bye-Laws with facilities such as Health Club, Swimming Pool, Billiards, Table Tennis and other facilities like Library, Restaurant, Permit Room and Residential accommodation. Many prominent personalities have become Members of the Garware Club House. The Members of the Garware Club House enjoy witnessing the Test Matches, One Day International Cricket Matches played at Wankhede Stadium, as seats are reserved for Garware Club House in the Garware Pavilion by Mumbai Cricket Association.

At present, the Management of the Club House has been managed under the dynamic Presidentship of Hon’ble Shri. Sharad Pawar, Union Minister for Agriculture. Shri. Sharad Pawar is ably supported by very enthusiastic team consisting of Shri. Raj K. Purohit, Hon.Vice-President, Shri. Manish K. Ajmera, Hon.Treasurer, Shri. Mohit B. Chaturvedi, Smt. Hina S. Chheda, Shri. Nitin N. Dalal, Shri. Cyrus M. Gorimar, Shri. Ajay K. Kadakia, Shri. Nainesh Sanghavi, Shri. Dilip M. Shah, Shri. Harshad C. Shah, Shri. Rajiv K. Shah, Shri. Rohit M. Shah & Smt. Payal R. Shah.
It is needless to mention that Garware Club House is one of the prestigious Clubs in the Mumbai City. It has various categories of Membership such as Patron, Vice-Patron, Donor Member, Life Member, Ordinary Member. It also enrolls the Sports Personalities as Associates as per the Rules of the Club House.

The main object of the Club House is to promote, organize and encourage various activities of sports, entertainment, tournaments. In the year 1993 , the Club House was incorporated under section 25 of Companies Act,1956 and registered under the said Act w.e.f 06.04.1993, thereby the liability of the Members is restricted to Rupee one. The Club House also conducts various sports Tournaments for its Members and their family Members such as Home Table Tennis Tournament, Carrom Tournament, Chess Tournament, Billiards Tournament, Swimming Competition. It also organizes various Entertainment Programmes such as Musical Programme and Cultural activities like Diwali Get-Together, Christmas Party, New Year Celebration and also hold Annual Sports Meet for its Members and their family Members. These programmes receive good response from Members and their family Members. Large number of Members attend and enjoy the events. The money collected from the Members by way of Annual Subscription, Charges for using various facilities etc, are utilized for the Development of the Club and organizing various sports and cultural activities.
